OUR MISSION
Utilizing the ancient teachings passed down through the Traditional Masters of Budo, Shuhari’s mission is to educate today's youth properly in a safe and happy atmosphere where discipline and fun are balanced and respect is first and foremost, never compromised.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Shuhari is firmly committed to teaching today’s younger generation the virtue of patience. Lending itself toward the integrity of what the rank denotes, the minimum age to test for Blackbelt is set at 18. This allows the emphasis to be taken off of the outcome and directed more appropriately toward the path and process of dedication, hard work, commitment and discipline.
For many years now, Shuhari has had the fortunate opportunity to work hand in hand with Barrie families as they look to raise their children to the best of their abilities. Shuhari is wholeheartedly committed to creating the most reputable and personable “outside of the home” learning environment for the kids in our community.
Our Kids program has been specially developed for children between the ages of five and thirteen. In an empowering environment, the children become immersed in physical training that promotes health while creating the mental discipline required to master new skills. As kids learn to develop the ability to focus for maximum achievement, they build the confidence necessary to face life’s challenges head on.
